No. All films must be written, filmed, and edited within the 72hr time period. The day of film start everyone will be given a required line of dialogue, prop, and character to include in your script, followed by a random selected genre in which then the time will start for everyone!

Every winning film will receive a premium trophy, certificate and laurel download. In addition Best Short Film (Kickass Award), and audience choice will receive cash prizes. A team can win multiple awards. All Nominations will be awarded a nomination laurel.

Teams will have 72 hours to write, film, and edit a 5-7 minute film. We will give everyone a prop, character, and line of dialogue that they must incorporate into their film, every team will also pull a random, genre unique to their film, you will need to create your film in the same 72 hours as everyone else. Production hard cost cant exceed $5,000 (not including equipment/Software). You cannot turn in your film after the 72 hours is up. See full rules list on registration page.

No problem! We highly encourage film makers from around the world to enter the festival. However you will have to film within the Denver/Mountain Timezone on the given dates and times.

Films are judged individually by judges of the film and entertainment industry, and scored on a per category basis with the criteria of Creativity, Category specific Skill, and precision of category. All judges individual scores are averaged to create the final winner. All judges judge on their own and submit cards to film fest directors to tally scores, all judges are strictly prohibited on judging with bias and have no connections to any filmmakers as a requirement.
