Filmmakers Kick Ass Registration

Sign up today to compete for the most epic film festival in southern Colorado, The 72 hour Kickass Film Fest! This festival is a truly immersive experience for all film makers fresh or seasoned! You can compete as a soloist or a unlimited number of teammates. We will set up multiple opportunities for you to network with Directors, Actors, Cinematographers, Editors, Muicians, and so many more collaborators of film.

The compettition is a timed festival meaning you will have axactly 72 hours to write, film, and edit your film. The starting day we will randomly select a genre for your film to be, and we will also assign you a line of dialougue that must be in your script, as well as a character and a object. This festival is sure to get your creative juices flowing!

Once  you have submitted your film it will be scored by a panel of judges from the film and entertainment industry to be nominated for 14 Awards including Best Director, Cinematographer, Actor, Actress, Screenplay, Ensamble, Editting, Use of Character, Use of Prop, Use of Line, Best Makeup, Best Score, Best Short Film. And have the chance at various cash prizes and beautifully crafted awards.

We will Premier the nominated films in a state of the art theatre amongst 250+ peers and spectators with a red carpet experience pre-party, Mid show musical performance, and award ceremony! This night will make you feel like the true hollywood star you are!

Filming Dates

March 1-4, 2024 | 10:00am (MST)

You will have 72 hours! On March 1, 2024, at 9:00am we will invite all filmmakers to draw genres virtually or in person at random, we will then state your Character, Prop, and Line of diaologue for your short film the 72 hour time clock will stat at exactly at 10:00 am MST you have until exaclty 10:00  am MST on March 4, 2024 to turn in your film and documentation, NO EXCEPTIONS!
