These 5–10 minute shorts spoof legendary, cult, and classic films while weaving in the world of Kickass Film Fest — from team registration to upcoming events, screenings, meetups, and festival culture.

What Are Kickass Promos?
Kickass Promos are short films that help promote Kickass Film Fest while giving filmmakers a chance to make something bold, funny, cinematic, and shareable.
Each promo should be inspired by a recognizable film style, genre, or classic movie moment while creating a new original story around Kickass Film Fest.
These shorts may be used to promote film team registration, upcoming Kickass Film Fest events, meet and greets, networking nights, premieres, screenings, and filmmaker opportunities.
Bring a Team or Come Solo.
You can apply as a full filmmaking team or as a solo filmmaker with an idea.
If you already have writers, directors, actors, editors, crew, locations, or collaborators attached, great — tell us who’s involved.
If you’re coming in solo, that works too. Kickass Film Fest is here to help support the production by connecting the right cast, crew, locations, resources, and promotional support when the idea feels like the right fit.
